SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce direct flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport beginning November 15, 2026. This route will operate four times weekly, broadening the airline’s network linking the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia operates flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, serving Jordan’s capital. The new service will provide travelers with an alternative Amman airport option within the airline’s Sharjah route network and enhance its scheduled Jordan connections.

Flights will be scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return, G9 170, leaves Amman at 11:20 a.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Air Arabia has made tickets available for purchase via its website, call center, and travel agencies for this route.
This new route further enhances Air Arabia Group’s existing services in Jordan. The group currently connects Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, along with flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route allows the group to extend its Amman City Airport connections from another UAE departure point, complementing its existing Jordan services.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new route provides travelers with access to a second airport in Jordan’s capital. He emphasized that this service will offer increased convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline revealed the Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month prior to its scheduled November launch. This new service will operate alongside Air Arabia’s existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own Amman City Airport service. Starting May 1, it offered three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This operation also includes flights to Queen Al Alia International Airport, giving travelers two options for flying into Amman from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia announced that these two Abu Dhabi routes together provided 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport route’s debut.
Sharjah route adds four weekly flights to Jordan’s capital
Operating with flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah route follows a fixed schedule of four flights per week. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its broader network. The airline also offers amenities such as its SkyTime streaming service, SkyCafe onboard menu, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve tickets for the Amman City Airport flights ahead of the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity to Jordan via three airports: Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Al Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The upcoming November launch will bring four additional weekly flights between Sharjah and the Jordanian capital, expanding the group’s regional network.
